I didn't even watch it but I did see the trailer and went to the website and I couldn't get a decent amount of sleep for a week. My mother was really angry.
I was in so much trouble. I was so afraid of Leatherface (I thought he was real) and the Moth man that the only place I felt was safe was my school.

I have seen the remake but not the original. The most clever thing I found about the film was how they seemed to be inventing reasons for her top to be constantly wet and for there to be dead meat around. So it's like a wet t-shirt contest with added death, not my sort of thing unfortunately.

I haven't seen more than two minutes of the old one, nor do I plan too!
TCM (new one) is great entertainment, if you can accept a slight predictabiliy (and wet tops showing nipples !).
It's got some pretty good scares, and leatherface is just plain freaky.
Too bad this (and a whole heap of other horrormovies) have completely discouraged me (scared me....) from ever going to the south of the US, since that's apparently where all the freaky nasty shit goes down... :dork:

If you want horror but not this movie, I wholeheartedly recommend Saw, awesome movie, that..

First TCM is brilliant. The kind of brilliant that can happen only once, because everything(including the timing of when it was made) falls into place just right.

The new one is blah, the kind of blah that Wrong Turn, Cabin Fever, Jeepers Creepers, etc fall into. Been there/done that. There are worse things...but there are better.
