Anybody think they should spend $2000 on a camcorder?

Sony's first High Definiton CamCorder. It actually films things in High Definiton. It's really quite neat, but it's super expensive. Here's a link about it.

If you are really serious about filming and you think that you will need something like this for your profession/pretty damn serious hobby and you think that you can justify the cost then i don't see why not. You could wait until other manufacturers come out with versions too, might be able to get something that is more friendly on the wallet too
