I wear contacts. The only problems I had at first were puting them on, taking them off and not having my eyes dry out. I reccomend you carry eyedrops until you get used to them.

It took me a while to learn how to put them in (quickly), but I never had any trouble wearing them.

Recently I switched brands because my Focus Night and Day contacts were bothering me; making my eyes water / turn red, but my current ones are nearly perfect.

I still plan to get laser eye surgery when I finish school.

I wear glasses at home, but whenever I go anywhere I usually put in my contacts. They're really irritating to get used to, but you will. Everyone has those kinds of troubles when they start. A lot of the time I prefer to just wear my glasses because they're a hell of a lot simpler and sometimes one of my contacts will irritate me a little, feeling like there's something in my eye.

I never wear my contacts when I'm at the computer. It's hard for me to focus on the monitor with my contacts which sounds like your problem. When I'm out and about, I put them in; once I get home, it's glasses time. It'll take about a week for you to get used to your contacts. Make sure not to go cheap on them, btw. You can definitely tell the different between cheapos and quality ones. With cheapos, it feels like there's a film on your eye; with quality ones, you can't even tell they're on.

Did you first try out different sorts of lenses of just went out and bought a certain type. because I tried a test package of 4 different types of lenses, and only 1 type really fit me, the others were just like the ones you described. So try a test package.

Do you by any chance need toric lenses, because what you describe sounds to me like a lens that does not fit right and constantly moves, so every time you blink it needs time to readjust.

All toric lensen suffer from that problem to a certain extent, some not fitting suffer way to much.

I myself still wear glasses, in the end I found them to be the easiest and safest.

Works great, only time it really bothers me is when I wear for it too long (10+ hours) or if I have to stare at the comp / TV. Both will usually result in my eyes getting extremely dry and irritated where I'll just swap in my glasses. I rarely go out without my contacts, but at home, I'll almost always use glasses simply for convenience.

Said I lost 98% of my vision. I cant even make out Viperidae's signature from a foot away from my monitor without my glasses.


Anyways, I look at lot better with contacts, but I just cant be arsed. So much easier and quicker to put on glasses when I wake up than to go over to the bathroom and put on contacts with the mirror. Plus they are much cheaper.

I wear contacts all the time, your sight isn't limited when you wear them. I think mine are pretty good, since I don't even feel I'm wearing them.

The only shitty thing is that I shouldn't be wearing them longer than ten hours a day, but I don't really stick to that rule.

I'be been wearing contacts for about 3-4 months now. At first the daily ones, then some that last 2-3 weeks, now I'm wearing those of the kind that you can use for a month. At first my eyes did get dry easily and itched a little, I also had problems focusing on close-range objects (I'm short-sighted BTW). I got used to wearing contacts though and it's all cool. Now I only wear glasses in the late evening when my eyes start feeling that I've been wearing contacts all day. I always break the "10 hours" rule. But last time I was at the optician, everything was fine, so I assume I'm not doing harm to my eyes by wearing them even for 16 hours (when I get up early for uni and wear them all day; sometimes even longer when I'm going out partying).

I wear contacts. It takes a while to get used to them but it's not to bad. Sometimes I have to skip putting one in my left eye due to it swelling massively from irritation but its 20/50 even with correction so it doesn't make a huge difference. I used to wear glasses but they can't correct my vision with them anymore, they were so much easier.

I don't need glasses or contacts, but I can imagine they're a bit nasty to put in for the first time. I hate the thought of anything touching my eyes. Except my third eye of course.
