Valve's back catalog includes:
Half-Life
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero
Day of Defeat
Team Fortress Classic
Deathmatch Classic
Opposing Force
Ricochet

Counter-Strike 1.6 is missing... kinda bizzare.. what reason would they have not to include it? Or does 1.6 come with cs these days with no extra fee?

I would presume that Counterstrike: source is replacing 1.6 on the Steam list, rather than 1.6 and cs:source working side by side.

Well, you get (And should already have) Half-Life, so you can probably still install the mod. It IS free still, isn't it?

Hey guys, I just took a look at my Games list, and its in there (1.6) , (started a new account for gold).

Either they forgot it or it's included under CS:CZ.

It's a conspiracy!

Why on earth would valve get rid of CS for HL2 buyers - it's their biggest online game fer chrissakes! One would assume that they are pretty damn intelligent people to get 98% game reviews ...
Maybe they just felt it was far too obvious, or it is included under CS:Source. Did you *really* think you'd lose the ability to play it?? I mean, really ...

CS 1.6 is included. CZ is a mod of 1.6, so it is required to play CZ. So Im sure 1.6 is included.

Are you trying to say CZ is a mod of a mod? Hmm ... sounds a bit fishy to me :)
And to end all silly discussion in one area: YES CS 1.6 IS INCLUDED. Ok?

Why would folks want to play an older version of Counter Strike when the Source version is available?

CS:CZ is a pack that includes CS:CZ, Deleted Scenes and CS 1.6.

Not something to mention in convo with some of the people round here. Although they'd probably be better off playing CS on the ZX Spectrum :p
