Anyone else get this sound problem?

After playing 1 game of cs:s; when I quit to the desktop I lose all sound. happens everytime I play cs:s now, and I dont know whats causing it! no sound files will play at all until i restart, then everything works (until i finish playing cs:s again). I have a Realtek AC97 sound card. anyone know how to fix? (tried reinstalling drivers)

I did but I got a new sound card an Audigy 2 ZS it is SWEET :afro:
