My computer was running CS just fine for awhile but now, it's getting slow for some reason..I suspect my graphics card cause my ram and my CPU are more than adequate to run it..any suggestions..I already reinstalled the graphics card drivers. Thanks.

I think a 9800 is also quite adequate, maybe you have traces of your old drivers causing problems? Or perhaps its just a result of an update by valve.. In which case you would need to experiment with different drivers or hope valve fixes things. Could be spyware or even dust in your case. By slow do you mean just enough to be noticable, or a huge fps loss?

My 6800 Ultra freezes during CS but then unfreezes after 5 seconds or so (does it for HL2 as well)

My graphics card used to beable to handle smoke in CS:Source with alot of people around but now it slows down so much..I'll try deleting my radeon 9800 drivers directly from the device manager and the drivers as well.

try cleaning with drivercleaner, and follow the guide ( it is in txt file with app)
but i think the slowdowns come after this new update( well it did for me)
well we have to whait for a another one :(
