Has anyone else noticed the major increase of horror movies now? It seems like there is a new horror movie announced like every other day. I can't remember the last time when SOOO MANY horror movies have been made at the same time.

That would be the 50`s or the 70`s, those decades packed a lot of horror films...

yeh, Fads always go in loops. Just watch, soon we will all be wearing shirts saying "Keep On Truckin'"

They're not really horror movies if they don't horrify.
Recently, the only really horrorific movie has been Saw.

The fad is more like ring-ripoffs. OMG she has black hair and is also pale!

Creepy Children actually seems to be the big thing right now. Legacy of the Sixth Sense I guess.

What I think is way overdue is a movie based on Lovecraft, especially some of his Cthullu stuff. If done well it would be incredibly creepy.

And if you look at them EVERY single one of the recent horror releases is a remake of either a recent Japanese horror flick or a 70's hollywood horror movie. I'm not exaggerating, look it up

Are you kidding, the whole creepy kid thing was started back in the 60's with village of the damned.

Yeah, but ALL of the new horror movies seem to do this. So while its always been a general trend, this new focus is more recent.
