I love Warcraft 3 , i play it all the time , but i really dont see what the fuss is about for this game

I think it helps to be into MMORPGs to begin with, but it seems to do a good job of cutting out much of the BS that has piled up in the genre. It looks to be an easily accessible MMORPG that makes everything easy and enjoyable instead of archaic and confusing.
If you don't have interest in RPGs or MMO games then I doubt you'll see anything of interest in it.

Everquest 2 looks way better, although I will miss PvP...or maybe I won't because people are such pussies in PvP, they only fight if they think they can win easily.

I think it looks like a really great game if it weren't for the fact that the whole MMORPG thing really isn't my scene. I like playing multiplayer games, and really liked WC3, but i like to have options. I don't like having to be required to play in an online community everytime i feel like booting up a game.

blizzard sometimes have wacky graphics, doesnt fool me :)

I agree that their graphics can get somewhat far fetched at times, but they've got style and that's important. In these days, where graphics are started to get much much closer to life-like, it's becoming much more important that developers retain a certain sense of style and artistic value to keep their games interesting.

Blizzard's games have never been the technical showcases of current technology, but addictive and FUN as hell. Blizzard always make their games perfect. I think Valve is slowly getting the same reputation as Blizzard: every game is a masterpiece. Although Blizzard seem to think that every game HAS TO be a masterpiece. If Half-Life 2 and 3 both turn out to be GREAT, than I think we have a next generation Blizzard :)

Yeah I've heard lots of people complain about the graphics, it's out dated or too cartoonish but that doesn't bother me one bit it still looks good and it will probably play ten times better ;)

Well what braindead fool would fight a fight he knew he would lose in? Thats just dumb.

I think Foxtrot would because he's a tough hombre apparently...

I think the idea is to get a match with someone of relatively equal ability. It is annoying just to see people with master-level abilities beating on new players who are only wearing a loincloth.

I think WoW takes the best of all the other MMORPGs out there and combines them into one Blizzard-polished package.
Blizzard doesn't try to remake genres, they perfect them.

I do, because it is fun. I am not just going to run for 5 minutes, I am going to try my hardest to win and even though he cons higher than I do I still might have a chance. I won must of the fights I fought too, I fight whoever I see.

The only part of WoW that has impressed me so far is the flying mount type things. Other than that, I do not like the Warcraft graphics, wasnt a fan of all the other games so I will not be getting the MMO version.

For satisfying my interest in fantasy MMORPG I think I will go with middle-earth online. WoW might interest me once it gets closer to release though. I'll just have to wait and see.

ive signed up for the beta... hope i get in :)

im definately gonna sign up for a month, see how it goes after that. WOW has really impressed me. and when i say impressed me i mean i have read every morsel of info on the website, downloaded every video availiable and checked the blizzard site regularly for info on the beta.

but its just that big price tag looming that puts me off... i hate paying monthly for things, with basically no exceptions. games are even worse, as you cant play them without paying, and if you want to play it whenever you want, you have to pay forever- about £100 - £140 a year :/

but WOW is definately the ONLY MMORPG i would make an exception of and pay monthly for... and even that i dont want to pay for....

which is why i want to get into the european beta so much- i can play without having to hand over my cash.... AND i get it early... AND i dont even pay for a disc... AND it is the summer holidays so i have all my time free :)

basically the only way im gonna get to play WOW is if i get into the beta. i dont think i want to pay for retail... and im definately not going to have much time on my hands in year 11 (so paying to play it for an hour a week or something is pointless). fingers crossed...
