It's just sickening hearing all these guys on the news saying Hezbollah like they think they're cool. And why should we be worrying about it? We have enough problems as it is. What's going on in the middle east (and it's been going on since the time of Jesus) has nothing to do with us. So there's a war in the middle east? Let's talk about it for months to draw attention away from the declining condition our own country is in. Yay! So there's a war in the middle east and Jesus' birthplace has been bombed or whatever the hell happened? The world is ending oh no! (I kind of wish it was)

I'm also on drugs right now, for the record.

I wish I was right now, for the record.

For the record, I think your record is innacurate.

More attention needs to be spent on the ongoing genocide in Africa. I only recently heard of it. How terrible is that?

THAT IS EXACTLY THE RIGHT ****ING ANSWER.

CONGRATULATIONS. NOW CLAIM YOUR PRIZE.

It's hard for me to care after seeing fundamentally the same crap for my entire life (30 years, anyway). I get to thinking that, "that's just what they do: they kill each other". It sucks, but they've been fighting since, well, since these factions came into being. I may go so far as to say that's how Hezbollah (sp?) defines themselves - they can't not fight. My only concern is that those cretins don't drag the rest of the world into their quagmire of a religious war (and that our own cretins don't lead us into their quagmire of a religious war, which they seem to be doing pretty well at the moment). In answer to your question, yes.

Exactly, everybody is ignoring Sudan....

As for the Middle-East, the only way to solve this entire crisis forever (Seriously), and only we Dutch can supply it, is if we carpet-bomb weed all over the place.
We mix Absinth with the water-supplies too.
Absinth and weed, thats the way to go.

I dunno I just think it's funny when people are so worried about global events but say- can't name anyone on their school board or local representatives.

It's good to have a global outlook I guess but not at the cost of locally caring- where your opinion actually is valuable input and can make you know... an actual noticeable difference in things that directly involve you.

Local community is one thing, but I personally find global politics quite an important thing to have an interest in. If we live in a society whose members care about the injustices and conflicts of the rest of the world then surely that is a good thing? If all you care about is what was local to you then feel free to carry on, but I think it is a naive stance to take.

Actually i actually enjoy watching the news. Cause every day it seems more and more like the kind of thing you'd see in some really cheesy fiction.

Yeah, it's nice to see what's going on in the world, but there's also way more happening than this war. I say we pay attention to things we can actually do something about. The only thing we can do I guess is drop tons of weed and add absinthe to the water supply like Vince said. But seriously the only way this thing is gonna end is if one side totally annihilates the other, or if we just bomb the hell out of them.

Man, Flyingdebris, you think Western news are cheesy? Try watching Al-Manar, it's a blast. Literally speaking! :-/

Ignorance in matters concerning your own species is a bad thing. Being informed = good. Not being informed = bad.

We're all part of the same global community.

tired..........wtf? u can say ignorance it's like how much we iGnore this news?
or just ignore those people which err suffering.
