They are next generation cards. They are 1 step below the 6800 Ultra. but they can be flashed to be just as good as them.

The 9600xt is a very good card!! Actually it even beats the Geforce FX 5950ultra is 3dmark05! I personally think u sa wasting your money.

It doesn't perform way better than the 9600, it has a higher clock speed, looks cooler (red!!!) has a silver heatsink which also looks cooler, and has a non-warranty-killiing overclock feature.

DO they even make 9600 (non pro, non XT, non SE) with 256mb?

im thinking of just selling my whole rig maybe and upgrading. I bought it in parts about 6 months ago, so im thinking about just selling it as a whole for the same, if not a couple hundred more, and building a new one

When i got it, i did a lot of hunting to find great prices... so we will see how that goes. I prolly wont tho, its a lot stupid cos i dont need a new system at all hehe. But if i could do it for free wellllll
