anyone edit movies on there computers here? anyone know a good editor to use? I heard good things about pinnacle studio 7. I want something with good special effects to.

I use Adobe Premiere 6.5 currently, it's one of the best editors out there. Shoot me an email or message me for more info.

Windows movie maker rules in its price range, considering its free to download with windows.

Ulead isn't bad for the price.
I perfer Premiere 6 as well but to buy the newest versions they cost $$.
I generally don't do a lot of scene editing.

Do capture (Pinnacle Studio 7), subs, encoding and authoring quite a bit. Generally just (S)VCDs.
Never go into Divx or Xvid considering I want compatibility with DVD players.

The newest Pinnacle is version 9 by the way. 99$ or buy a Pinnacle capture card with Pinnacle Studio 9 included.
