just been looking threw the web and came across some iffy websites with downloads to 2 programs called steam-down and non steam-down, now these programs are sort of clones of the steam client and claim to let you play any steam game on any account for free, in other words a hacked version of steam (all valves games are now free to anyone).
obviosly im not gona be posting links to these sites i was just wondering if anyone actually uses these and if anyone knows wtf valve is gona do about it?!!!

Although some people have complained that the download was indeed a trojan, which is likely. I advise you not download it.

oh no, i aint gona download it i was just wondering if anyone actually has it and if valve knows?

Wow, whoever downloads those must be really desperate to get free games...

Maybe I'll get it :D.
Kidding, like I'd get that.
Even if it doesnt have a trojan Im still not getting it because I already payed for the games.

Yes, Valve knows about these programs. They would have a hard time stoping them though.

It makes me wonder why these people will risk having there pc infected with trojans just to have free access to games. I mean hl2 is £18 here in teh uk, and you get cs:s and hl2dm through steam download, so its a pretty good deal.
