anyone know this movie?

it was made in the 80's and it's about an american car company that went bankrupt or somethign, n some guy went to japan to some japanese car company and they bought out the american car company.

So the japanese went to that american city n all this hilarious shit happened then the workers went on strike and it was just really great...

Need to be a little bit more specific with the details. Sounds like one of those "cultural" comedies.

You know, like Crocodile Dundee or something. Were the place the protagonist from one culture/nation into another culture and hilarity ensues.
