Good guides/tutorials/whatever showing the structure of the human face? While I do draw what I consider to be 'realistic' faces, something about 'em still looks slightly off - Any help would be appreciated.
Yeh - i was looking at some books on amazon. Hmm. But thanks a bundle for the links - I appreciate it I've always actually tried to learn the structure of the skull/face - and actually working from the basic skull up gives you a very structured face.
Honestly, you probably just need to do more studies. Put up a mirror and draw your own head over and over from different angles. You'll get it eventually. Human heads are difficult though because we spend a lot of time looking at them and it's very easy to notice abnormalities.
Yeh, to be honest you are 100% correct, I do very little direct-observation drawings of the human face opposed to how many I do just from my own recollection. But then again, that is because I am very "comfortable" drawing off the top of my head, and again that's probably my problem - certain people I know struggle with drawing from their imagination simply because they can't even figure out what to draw and what it looks like.
