Uh how in the hell could you beat that beast without god mode and give all ammo, was their an actual trick or something? Just curious to see who used cheats and what not.

Spoiler up ahead

Use the Soul Cube 6 times on him

Umm...the final boss is ridiculously easy. [I have to use spoiler tags from now on.]

Sorry Abom...

I found him incredibly easy, just
mow through the Imps/maggots with the rocket launcher and keep whacking him with the soul cube, naturally staying away from him as much as possible.

I finished it on Veteran, and I never use cheats... however I followed the storyline and how to kill him was pretty damn obvious.
(since I see people have already told you what to do, I will not repeat it here)

you really should just follow the story (what little there is) and you should be fine though

I killed enough imps by the end boss that I just typed in "Give all" in console and charged up the BFG to kill every imp in sight. I know it's cheating but, I don't really give a shit, so that's that.

Yeah I found that really, really, easy. He was cool though. :D

How did you guys finish the game in 4 days ?

Not really much too it, the beginning took the longest since I stared at everything, but after the initial wow factor, I breezed through the game and the million of imps.

It's too short IMO. I was hoping to go to Phobos or fight the Spider Mastermind. I would even trade some hours of Imp blasting for some new enemies I didn't already know about and some that were supposedly going to be in but weren't, like the Pain Elemental. The whole thing felt like content was cut, I mean in the first Doom we got to go blast the brains behind the invasion (literally) but in Doom 3 it just sort of ends, you never get to the bottom of things.

It's shorter than Call of duty ???
Damn, It took me day and a half to finsih that.
See for Call of Duty I understand, it wasen't so long in development and it wasen't hyped so much.

HAHA neither game passed my 24 hour test. Heck I bought Grandia 2 for $15 bucks and thats has more play time in it, roughly 24 hours and 15 mins according to my save before the final boss (I didn't rush, I hate rushing games)

Is it just me or are shorter play times in FPS's becoming more common. I wonder how much playtime Hl2 will have.

Took me about 20 hours (e.g. two days allmost straight).

Nice game but way...WAY to dark (had to set the gamma to full and brightness on my monitor full blast). I'm gonna finish it a second time soon but this time with Duct Tape.

End boss was very easy btw. Got him first time around.

you ruin the whole environment by doing that :| its supposed to be dark

Good lord...its sure as hell not shorter than Call of Duty. I list both games among my all-time favorites, but Call of Duty was MUCH, MUCH, shorter. Doom took me a good three quarters of a week of heavy playin to get done.

What I think woulda been good for the Final Boss(Whom Im assuming was Satan? Or just the Lt. In charge of capitolizing on the hole Betruger made) was instead of Imps and those little guys they used Hell-Knights,and the flying Brain yokes and really made it difficult. They gave you so much ammo before it so It wouldnt exactly unbalance or make it too difficult as the soul cube would keep you healthy
