I mean, in almost every console game discussion I've been in, it eventually turns into a "My system can beat up your system" argument. I'm getting sick of it.
I don't get it. Did a xbox rape your mom? A ps2 kill your dad? A gamecube molest you as a kid? What ever happened to the actual game being the deciding factor on whather the game sucks or not, not what console it's on.

Tis human nature my friend. I'm more pissed off with the anti-fanboy. The "Everyone likes this so im going to say I hate it" person.

Let's just love every person on earth, as well as every system. In the console wars, the real winner is the gamer.

Wow, those examples you gave are hilarious.

"Did a Xbox to rape your mom..."
Aha.

QFT. All of this stiff competition just makes everyone work harder to outdo each other and the games just get better! We all win!

Mostly true. It's when certain companies decide to ruin the competition by making underhanded moves (EA - especially buying the NFL exlclusive license). Also apparently with the next-gen consoles...each one is so unique from the others it's hard for devs to develop for multiple platforms so we'll see even more exclusive titles (which can be a good and bad thing).

I see it as a good thing because if cross-platform development were easy as pie, then many games would be for all the systems and where then would the point-of-difference be? Where would the creativity and uniqueness be? The only way we can have a competition is by having different consoles be very different in terms of the games they offer. Otherwise, the creativity is stifled and we all suffer the same crap across all the platforms.

There are two types of fanboys:

The fanboy who likes one game and will like no other game or system or nothing just one game (I have the unpleasurable perdicament of knowing a Halo fanboy :( )

And the fanboy who likes a whole system and everygame on the system for instance Nintendo. (I happen to know someone like that too...and he's horrid because if I say something bad about Nintendo he reacts like I insulted his family and insults me to the point where I just leave)

Fanboys...please keep your crap to yourself. Gaming is not a form of a Christian conservative or a religion nut.

I really can't get my self to care anymore. Face it, it will never change no mather what you try, everyone is biased. Its part of being human, the need of giving your oppinion

OMG HL IS THE BRILLIANT!
The main thing that this comes up as for me is0 £PS2 is way better than Xbox"
Me: "Why?"
The Reply "...Xbox is crap"

Or "I might be getting a DS"
"Why? DS's are crap(they procede in trying to convince me why the PSP owns all)"
"( I own the arguement)"

Not the only kind of fanboys. I'm, admittedly, somewhat of a fanboy - I acknowledge that there are decent console games (hell, I play my GC and PS2 occasionally, mostly for Final Fantasy or Tekken or SSBM), but overall the PC takes the cake in versatility, control, and general overall game quality. Also, Half-Life 2 blows most all other games out of the water. But yes, I hate idiots that screech about one game or system and refuse to accept that other games or systems are any good at all. And I hate Halo fanboys.

It used to bother me until I delved to the bottoms of their souls to find out what specifically it was that made them fans of their a) video card, b) operating system, c) processor, d) video game, e) beer, f) chew, g) race car driver, h) sports team, and ad infinitum. It's very rarely based on a fact (for those of them who did base it in fact, they weren't raving fanboys) and I think it's just a part of human nature. Doesn't mean I like it in the same way that annoying children don't bother me anymore - that's what they do.

I haven't met really any console fanboys (not since my old GamePro days anyway). Now, I'm usually surronded by PC fanboys.

Which makes sense, given that Half-Life 2 is a PC game.

Whenever I hear the word "fanboy", I think of the guy from the Usual Suspects in the lineup who freaks out when reading the line about the keys, but instead of keys, he's talking about his favorite (game, chip, system, etc.)

No, I am not sick of fanboyism. I enjoy it and its numerous comical discussions it spawns.

Did I mention I hate Halo and Halo Fanboys? GO PC'S AND HL2!!!

I play games that I like, I dont care what anyone else thinks or what system it's on. For some reason some ppl have trouble grasping this concept.....
