Well, this idea occured to me because I have ideas, but I can't implement them correctly. At least I don't have the necessary skills to be a mod leader.
I'm not going to be the "ideas guy" without any knowledge of WTF is my coder doing.

Well, then if anyone is up for the task, please contact me. I have several ideas, that I may list here if anyone shows minimal interest. Yes, I know, to HL2.net standards that's bad, but whatever....

I would but alas I'm helping build my father site which has been taking all of my time recently.

I just realized this is in the wrong forum :o

I don't understand, are you looking for someone who will lead a mod, but also has basic knowledge of coding?

No. Someone that has basic knowledge on every aspect of making a mod, which I don't.

In other words, you looking for someone who probably already has thier own mod.

I'm not trying to put the kaibosh on your plans, its just that what your looking for is rather specific and the skill set so broad that only those who have or are already leading a mod would have them.

Also, ideas are fine, but if you dont have any idea of how to impliment them then you will have a difficult time finding people who will do it. Try to develope an implimentation for each idea. It dosent matter if you end up throwing it or the second or the third one away, what counts is that you are doing more than just sitting there saying "oh, that would be nice". If you want people to use your ideas you have to do more than sit in an ivory tower and drop papers from the balcony.

I'm currently working on a design doc.

I'll post it here when it's ready.... if anyone steals it, doesn't matters, at least someone will make it.

This is great, there's actually someone interested

You say that the player can decide whether to be cannon-fodder or the 'greatest military mind against this invasion force.' How do you figure? In order to get that much freedom, you have to do a ridiculous amount of plotline safety-netting, and if you already have a story for the player, how will you manage putting the player in a position where they should be able to change it?

Well, so far I was playing with the main idea of making the gameplay a massive 32 to 12 player co-op campaign, but I'm still very unsure about it. I don't know, just mentioning it could bring down the whole concept.

And the 1st thing I think about is the backstory, so I just made it 1st and it's an early sketch
