Anyone with Radeon 9700 Pro

How is your performance with high detail ? I'm gonna register my copy of HL2 sunday but I wanna know now.

I get between 40 and 60 fps on mine in normal gameplay. that's on an XP2800 with 768Mb

yeah same here , everything on Highh at the 16000 x whatever speed . but its all good

I'm running a softmoded 9500 at near pro speeds, and I play 1024 res with all the eye-candy on except AA. (doesn't seem to need AA!) I am getting great framerates most of the time. The only real slow-downs I've noticed are in very heavy firefights with large numbers of players.

I dont know how that translates to HL2 performance. I suspect It will work the card alot harder than CSs. I only scored around 24fps on the stress test, so I suspect it may take some tweaking to get the rates up. I may be a bit cpu limited with my XP2100, so that and ram will be my next upgrades.
