Anyone working on a Vietnam or desert Combat type MOD?

I hate to sound like a BF1942 freak, but i am, and i was hoping someone was going to recreate some type of these two... Imagine Desert Combat with the HL2 engine, would be awesome...!!!

Desert Combat is based on the Gulf War... just so you know... because you also said Vietnam war..

LoL... I did attend school.. I just like these two recreations... Vietnam for the jungle warfare, and Gulf War for the modern weaponry.. A mod of either one of these would be insane with the physics capabilties HL2 has... I truly hope spmepme considers this...

I really like the idea of a HL2 DC too. I still play the BF1942 Desert Combat but the graphics and the physics system of BF1942 aren't really good, but it's a 2 year old game, I can't blame DICE for that. And if there isn't going to be a HL2 mod like this, we still have Battlefield 2. And those physics are quite impressive too, and a lot of cool gameplay features. But a HL2 mod like this would become really popular if it can be done well, and if it runs without many lag.
