Appcompat.txt Half life error HELP!

there is a problem with this file stopping half life from loading!
Does anyone know how to fix this ?
I need half lfie to live!!!!!!:flame:

Dunno what that file is. Just backup your saved games/configs, and reinstall

It probably has something to do with steam....

Rarehero: you signature must be 4 lines or less. change it please.

I've had that same problem before... happens pretty randomly, though.

thats one of the files that keeps causing my comp to restart as well! I can't figure out whats going on, you can read about it like two posts down... not a virus that i can tell just started happening today!
