What do you guys think of it...Just launched in Ireland recently and 'i likes it a lot'...0.99c for a song is great and just 9.99 for an album...gonna make music stores pay once there is widespread broadband and mp3 players...

why? the artists have to get something out of it!
at the moment irish have to pay 6.35 for a single (3 songs and maybe 1 video) and then about 22.95 for an album!!! So 0.99c for a single and 9.99 an album - GREAT!

Hell screw the artist...they already have enough money as it is.

Makin it 10 cents a song ain't gonna hurt them.

I love it, I've purchased probably around 200 songs from there.

If it was 10 cents for each song I would join.

$1.50 for a whole CD? You're insane.

Hell screw the artist...they already have enough money as it is.

The artist barely get anything from the music they sell, most of it goes to producers, etc.

Screw the artist...do that and where does your music go? Straight down the crapper.

Oh...right.

Explains their 4 story houses...cadillacs, diablos, porsches, ferrari's etc...

Also the artist sign contracts with those recording companies and producers and are given money.Then later when the tracks start selling the producers/recording company gets most of the money about 60/70%.

Now considering how much the track sells...thats a lot of money not including the all the money they get off the contract alone.

Artists seriously have to sell hundreds of thousands if not millions of records for this dream life you speak of...most artists get screwed cos of the middle men...

You dont get to see the up-and-coming or not-so-successful bands and artists on those shows that display the lifestyles because it wouldnt be so interesting viewing - 'this is my 1994 beat-up car, this is where i sleep and eat' -> show over...

Oh of course I would pay for there CD's if they was some garage band...but those big time artist...hell no.
