Apple - Multi-Touch Technology - Awesome video demonstration

It's neat, but I don't really see this as being something revolutionary. Other than graphics editing, point-and-click adventure games, and long distance surgery, I don't see what other useful applications that this could be applied to.

It could be applied to pretty much anything. Web browsing would be easy; video, image and sound editing would be easy; typing (no more keyboards); some games. The only thing it couldn't be used for really is first person shooters.

I really like this look of this. If Apple does go ahead and release this technology it'd be awesome. Of course 10 years down the line Microsoft will release something exactly the same and call it "new" technology :D

Dude...that looks..amazing. But something this amazing will most likely require large accumulations of bling

Wow. That is some seriously amazing stuff. Now they just need to get some gloves for it that will control the movements on a holographic projection screen and you've got Minority Report in real life! This is some amazing tech that will no doubt lead to even more amazing innovations! Wicked demo!

an easy application: road map ..just think of having a small pad like device with a screen ..instead of scrolling around the map you could move the map around

Yeah, I like the way it doesn't have scroll bars or arrows leading to the next screen. Sure you can do this kinda stuff with the mouse, but I bet it isn't as easy as that. Immagine RTS games with this. Especially Supreme Commander where you can zoom in and out massive distances.

I want this technology! D:

This doesn't seem like new technology, but it is interesting.

Not particularly new technology but I like the fact that it's being developed for consumers. :)

That was actually pretty neat....I'd love to see where it goes.

^^^Yeah, it's a pretty cool song. I have the soundtrack.:D

That photo demonstration was unbelievable. It looks sci-fi. Jeeeesus.
