Application error

Hey

Sometimes whenever I play half life 2 deathmatch, I'm ingame and then it will just close. I get a windows error saying:

'hl2.exe encountered a problem and needed to close'

Closely followed by an application error saying exactly:

The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000" The memory could not be "read" Click ok to terminate program.

I have 512MB of ram, a 2.8GHz processor, good enough graphics card.

Any ideas? Thanks

Do you have the latest update for HL2DM? And yes, HL2DM occassionally crashes.

Yeah Ive got the latest updates.

And mine crashes quite a lot about 2 or 3 times a day (considering I play alot)

Do you have directx 9.c installed? How about the latest graphical drivers for your graphics card?

Also try validating your HL2DM files, by going to your 'my games' menu, right clicking HL2DM, going to properties then 'validate integrity of game cache' and let steam scan them.
