jesus ****ing christ this is wrong

A Brazilian archbishop says all those who helped a child rape victim secure an abortion are to be excommunicated from the Catholic Church.

The girl, aged nine, who lives in the north-eastern state of Pernambuco, became pregnant with twins. It is alleged that she had been sexually assaulted over a number of years by her stepfather.

The excommunication applies to the child's mother and the doctors involved in the procedure.

it's not that he kicked her out of his fairyland magic nose goblin crazy club, it's the fact that he's such a dick for punishing her for being the victem of a heinous crime. surely incest and child rape is as bad as killing off a few cells

Evo's edit: Just to clear things up - the girl wasn't excommunicated, the mother and the doctors were though. Feel free to get (justly) angry over the correct thing!
 
And he didn't excommunicate the father? Yup, that's the catholic church in a nutshell.
 
The Catholic church worships idols and statues. its in the bible that no other gods are to become before me----referring to god. although i am no longer religious, that statement alone makes Catholicism false because everyone prays to Mary and Joseph and all these other "gods"

which is usually ok except when the person WAS RAPED FOR YEARS BY THEIR PARENT


god really needs to lay the smack down on some of these people perverting his laws

They are very aware of that doctrine. Worship =/= pray.
 
yes I've had women both worship and pray over my KAWK. I can assure you pray =/= worship


one was my high school english teacher who also happened to be a nun and who prayed that we wouldnt be "wicked" on prom night (which I suspected involved our penises) ..and the other, well that was also on prom night, and the day after that and maybe a week later and then not for a few months and then .....

yeah but they pray to these so called saints which imo is wrong. the only people you should pray to is jesus and god...or i don't even know. religion is so damn complicated. i have to talk to god but before i do i have to ask jesus into my life then the holy ghost has to touch me yata yata yata BORING!

not to worry the holy ghost works through the priest ..although I think in this case he's touching you with his penis
 
That's ****ed up.

And Warped they're just praying for Saints etc. to intercede for them with The Big Man. It's more like hiring a lobbyist to make one's case to government.

This is incredible, how can we ever evolve our minds and views in a forward direction when we are constantly being pulled back by rubbish like this. Aside from that, I suppose a 9 year old going through twin child birth wouldn't traumatise her for the rest of her life, further than she already is? Talk about kick someone while they are down.

Also, I can't actually stand it anymore. VICTIM VICTIM VICTIM. /me edits title.
 
I'm desensitized to a lot now. I wouldn't be surprised if they started mass murder...oh wait.
 
I hate things like this so much. Not the girls fault. Give her the right of any other 9 year old and don't make her go through the pregnancy if she does not want it.

she was probably wearing slutty clothes. What is the father supposed to do, not rape her?
 
After years of royal abuse by the way of Christianity, we have protestant who reject their ideas, catholic (who, as stern said, are the most "hypocritical" seeing as how they fit the version that was made to suit a monarchy), and the evangelical, who I think (as of my current assesment with no real factual information) just said **** it all and read the bible themselves to come to their own conclusion.
