WTF. This EP is shit compared to the LP they released a few months back....

Whats that? I don't think i follow you, i have their album, are you talking about a more recent release?

Hell yes.

They released an EP about 3 weeks back called Who the **** are Arctic Monkeys. It's got 4 new tunes on and 1 older one. It must be a growers (it has to be) cos at the moment I don't get it.

How's it going Glenn anyway?.. long time no see!

Good to see you Craig, i just realised your not Stemot, and craig the one who left! This is your section, you should hang around. I'm not too bad though mate cheers, hope you are well too.

This EP, are all the songs new or some of their unreleased internet material all jazzed up with icing on top? I'll have to check it out first, and see the tracks on there, as i had alot of their pre-album stuff.

They're new songs.

They aren't great no, but No Buses is pretty good... Who The **** Are Arctic Monkeys (the song itself) is pretty good too. Despair in the departure lounge is messed up by that silly effect they put on the vocal :|

I'm not a fan of the arctic monkeys, they're a fad imo.

Yeah, there's nothing interesting or new about them at all other than poor lyrics. Not bad to dance to on some of their tracks though :D

You can accuse them of whatever you like, but not poor lryics.

I thought the EP was better than alot of the songs on the album.

actually they're not 'new' songs. a lot of them (no buses) for example are pre-record contract days afaict

QFTMFT

Seems to me to be another band that NME are swooning over, so every indie-kid and hipster in the country is bound to love them.

Ah, so the NME love em, that`s a good reason to not like them

It's alright, it's the knee-jerk reaction against indie that's going on at the moment.. feh

Lily Allen is the daughter of Kieth Allen. She's a pop singer.

Feh, there's so many ****ing good bands kicking off right now - however indie is cool these days, and therefore it's also 'in' to slate it.

I liked it.

The View From The Afternoon was on the album, great track.

No Buses, Who The **** Are Arctic Monkeys and Despair In The Departure Lounge are new songs, it's Cigarette Smoker Fiona that's a reworked demo. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_the_****_Are_Arctic_Monkeys)

Speaking of which, I preferred the demo, not quite sure why (I guess I like the "watching a stripper and snorting some coke off her thigh" line).

No Buses is a fantastic tune. Love it.

Despair In The Departure Lounge... eh I preferred the live bootleg (I dislike the weird effect the put on the guitar).

And the title track is superb too. Bring on the backlash indeed. :D
