Are the combine human or aliens with masks on?

In the video they make unhuman like noises and i wasnt sure if they were human or aliens dressed up, also, do you think it will be easier to create maps with this new editor that comes with HL2 or the old editor of HL? will anybody that knows how to opperate a computer pretty much be able to create a descent map?

Been there done that thread. But OT, the name Combine points at something not human but probably something cybernetic. Don't think they're Xen aliens though. But combine could mean syndicate aswell.

Nah, the combine are actually Michael Jackson clones so depressed of their facial complection they wear what we know as combine gear. (So far people are right. Many speculate that the Combine are half human, half alien... Well isn't Michael Jackson?)

I think aliens in the shape of a human has been done often enough that they wouldn't (hopefully) do it again.

Near the end of HL1 the one scientist tells you "We had a good collection of specimens, before we started beign collected ourselves"

So, they could've taken some scientist, mixed DNA with other DNA..and came up with "Combine" soldiers..
