I mean seriously, just look at their soccer/football team!

I'm going to France in a few days and I'll report back with the news.

Yes.

Thier football team doesn't show the whole nation.

i didn't know there where white french people. i just thought there were french french people.

There are many white French people in France, don't be ridiculous. The explanation for the team having many black players is because they are collectively taken from African nations under French Colonial rule in the past and migrate and naturalise to become French. As we know there are many fantastic African athletes which support huge fitness and stamina levels. Thuram, Viera, Wiltord are prime examples from the French squad. If you go to many places in West Africa you will find French speaking people (theres also Dutch, Spanish and English too elsewhere).

Anyway, the map below shows the French colonial spread. North and West Africa shows a great deal of navy blue, which indicates the country/territory was part of the second French colonial empire.

Some of the countries include:

* Morocco
* Algeria
* Tunisia
* Benin
* Burkina Faso
* Côte d'Ivoire
* Guinea
* Mali (as French Sudan)
* Mauritania
* Niger
* Senegal
* Togo

Still very much a French France, with that beautiful language wherever you go. :)
