Unshaven gamers rejoice, as relief is finally here. Gillette has recently introduced the new Fusion Gamer, finally bringing the science of facial hair removal to our scruffy industry.

For ages, gamers have had to make do with the same shaving devices that normal people use, to varying degrees of success. Some of us had given up, letting the facial hair run wild in desperate hope that one day a razor would be released that was just for us. Well that day has come. Commercials have begun springing up for the Gillette Fusion Gamer and Fusion Power Gamer, two razors created solely for those of us who dabble in the interactive electronic arts.

No, I am completely serious. The web page features the silhouette of an Xbox 360 controller as a loading meter. Once the page loads, 3D models of three of Gillette's celebrity sports endorsement drones step out of their games to pick up the razor, perhaps marveling at the confusing new gaming device they've discovered.

Oh and after looking at the website, I don't want some ****ing retarded razor that some ****ing stupid sports players from games use.

I want one that Duke Nukem uses. I want one that Gordon Freeman uses.

It doesn't look like Gordon uses much of one, but if he never shaved he'd have a FULL beard!
 
I saw this one PA and had to check it out. I'm really torn, I don't know if I want one cause it's so wonderfully stupid, or if I need to kill someone cause it's so effin' ridiculous.

I have a regular Fusion and it looks exactly the same. It's better you kill someone.
 
Products targeting gamers like this bug me. They're not even trying anymore, they're just taking preexisting products and slapping some gamer slang and imagery on it.

I already have a Fusion too... So they just added "gamer" to the name made a few "cosmetic" changes to the plastic package the razor comes in and that's that? :rolleyes:
 
Maybe it comes with Tiger Woods and he'll shave your face while you game.

They market a gamer product and they use 3 male figureheads. They should've used someone like Sharapova. Add the innuendo and those blades should fly of the shelves.
 
So, is there anything different about it from a normal razor? Or is it just something they've called a gaming razor to market it towards us, like ****ing Gamer Fuel?

If the shaver is anywhere near as shitty as Gamer Fuel, toilet paper sales will soar.
 
Whoever wrote this commercial is an idiot. Why would they use Tiger Woods? Golf games are among the most boring of videogames.

So, it's not a colab with Razer... a mouse you can shave with? (achieved not with blades, but laser hair removal beams that double as pointing lasers!)

And what about gamers who need to shave their legs too? Where is the Gillette Venus Gamer eh? EH?

Think of all the untapped markets. The ship sailed on Emo culture, but surely there's still time!

In their consumer knowledge of following a stereotype, Gillette should be liable to release a lawn mower for the European woman.

My facial hair looks pretty much like that dude in the PA comic, that is to say scruffy, patchy, generally unkempt and all in all very gamer-y.
 
I must say though the Fusion is worth it. :LOL: I'm gonna sound like that video but the extra blade is worth it! :LOL: I got one for free in the mail and I have no clue why you would get the powered one. But the blades are expensive and it's a really good shave. My only complaint other than how much the blades cost is that the "trimming" blade cuts you more so than the front side. Also I don't change the blades in like 4-5 months. They last longer, feel better, and shave better than the Mach 3.
