Well, that is have you upgraded your rig or you PC to play the line of games coming out over these two months?

Personally, I'll stick with my 8600Gt for the time being, until I get a kick-ass upgrade in December.

8800GT should still be fine for a good few months.

Not really, I added another stick of ram but that's it.
Going to be ordering some stuff soon though.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2.3GHZ
Eh, that's all really... my video card hasn't seen the last of its days just yet.(I just bought it 2 years ago ffs.) It's a 7600GS BFG 512mb, and I have 2gb of ram atm.

Oh and I'm going to be getting Vista soon.

Intel Q6600
Nvidia 9600GT SLi
4GB RAM
750 GB hard drive
vista premium 64 bit

ooohh yeah :D

Will be getting a new stick of RAM and a new video card next month.

Flawed poll. My PC is meh AND (+therefore) I will play on the X360 until I get the cash for an upgrade.

Id say my upgrade buy times are good. Im ready to go right now.

I keep looking for an excuse to upgrade from my socket 939 amd x2 processor to a fancy new intel duo or quad but there's nothing that interests me that would bring my pc to it's knees so I havent upgraded ..last years upgrade of a 8800gt has hept my pc playing the latest without a problem so no cpu/ram/mobo upgrade just yet

Pentium 4 2.8Ghz
1GB RAM
Intel Extreme Graphics

**** yeah.

Asus P5Q-E
Intel Q6600
ATi MSI 4850
4 GB Patriot Ram
Combined 500 GB Hard Drives
700Watt PSU
---

Should last me quite a while

Athlon64 X2 4600+ 2.4GHz
2GB DDR2-800 mushkin RAM
ATI Radeon x1900XT 512MB

I should be okay.

Will be upgrading at the end of the year or beginning of next for Dragon Age. It will clearly also help for games like Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2 though. Crysis will be in the bargain bin by then too! Woohoo!

My PC died a few months ago and I simply don't feel any need whatsoever to get a new one. I have a PS3 and do my gaming on that now. There isn't a single title out there that makes me even consider putting together a new PC anytime in the near future.

See sig :p .. probably a few things I want to upgrade in a couple of months time, but for now I'm good.

2,02GHz Intel Pentium 4
GeForce FX5500 256MB
512MB ram
40GB hard drive

E6750 @ 2.8 GHz, 8800GTS 512meg (g92) and 4 gigs of ram...I think I'm good. I may get a Penryn C2D or C2Q and a newer graphics card when money allows.

Asus Striker II Formula
Silverstone Decathlon DA850
Core2Duo Wolfdale E8400 3GHZ
Zalman CNPS8700 copper heatpipe flower
EVGA SSC 9800GX2 @ 675MHZ/2100MHZ
4GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2 8500

Before the year is up my GX2 will have a mate, and thanx to my recent successful cooling mods, some OCing shennanigans will have occurred.

1GB RAM
Pentium 4 2.6GHz
7600GT

eh... It's AGP.

I haven't upgraded since HL2 was released, but am beginning to feel the itch.

AMD X2 2.8 GHz
2GB PC6400
7800GT 256MB

I haven't upgraded my video in two and a half years and it's still going strong.

Athlon64 X2 4200+
3GB Ram
Geforce 9600GT 512MB
Windows XP

I'll be okay for now.

7950gt, 2gb ram, 3.33ghz.

I'll be good for a while. Really, all I want is Clear Sky and maybe Spore.

I have a Q6600 (price was criminally cheap), 4 Gigs of 'god knows what' (I haven't benchmarked recently; outta) and a 9800GTX 512 (with the latest physix enabled drivers)

My Rig is still "meh"/horrible,

upgrading next month or October.

Q6600 overclocked
Radeon 4850 512mb
4gigs of ram

I think im safe.

^This

I think my monitor's about to blow too, so I've been avoiding gaming on my PC for the time being. I need my monitor and PC too much for other things.

Current specs:

K9N Platinum series MSI Nforce4 chipset
2 7600GS 256MB SLI
AMD Athlon64 2.4 GHz
Creative Audigy 4 Soundblaster
2 Gigs low-latency Corsair RAM
160GB WD 7600RPM SATA
600Wt Enermax PSU
Ultra UPS

Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4ghz (Going to over clock eventually)
4gb ram
Nvidia 8800GTS 512
500GB HDD

Haven't really played a game I couldn't max (Crysis doesn't count:p) out yet so I think I'll be good for a while.

Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz
4Gb DDR2 RAM (Corsair)
Nvidia 9800 GTX 512Mb
500Gb HDD

It's not the best available today (for that just take a look at this baby), but I think it's gonna last for a couple of years since I'm not obsessed about new games with better and better graphics, but I also want to play games up to four years old that I missed out on because my old comp couldn't run them on full.

My 2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo + 2 GB RAM + 8800GTX is holding up amazingly well. Got this thing a year and half ago for a little over $2,000 (with monitor and everything), and I'm still very happy with it.

Well things are looking up for me. I wasn't thinking about getting a new PC anytime soon, as any money I do have is going towards a car/fat-off TV in the near future. But my older bro turned up this afternoon with two new PC's he'd "burrowed" from work during a move today. :p

Q6600, 4GB RAM, but no graphics card. I've been doing a little reading and I think I'll be able to scrape together some money for an 4870 or something. Perfect timing as well considering my old 9800 Pro died just the other day.

2GB RAM
Radeon X800
Athlon 64 something something (better version that's for sure) with something like 2.8GHz

Currently

Q6600 3.6ghz
Asus P5K - Yeah vanilla, ****ing vdroop.
2GB DDR2 800 Corsair
Generic Nvidia 8800GT
1x 1TB samsung spinpoint F1, 4x 1TB Western Digital Green drives for raid loving. The fileserver is a seperate machine with more HDDs =D
BenQ 22" - Being replaced by a 30" Dell
470Watt thermalcrap PSU - Honestly kids run a load test and check how much your system draws with your overkill PSU. Raid drives above and fileserver drives do however run on their own 400Watt OEM dealies.

Snappier repsonse times and the ability to finish general tasks much more quickly doesn't appeal to you? Although my machine does spend most of it's time idling away when it does shut down it can boot back up damn fast. There's a P4 two housemates use that is just dog slow in comparison.

Q6600 overclocked
Radeon 4850 512mb
4gigs of ram

I think im safe.
Just wondering, but did you ever get Gothic 3 to work?

Just a suggestion, but that could be why you were getting like 3 FPS. Some games don't like overclocking.

That's why I never do it. :p

(I never played Gothic 3, I just remembered you were having serious FPS trouble with it.)

My rig, its starting to become useless. Just need the cash to upgrade:

Pentium 4 2.6GHz
1GB RAM
(AGP) ATI Radeon X700 Pro

Will be buying my new rig for about $700. Mostly to run Crysis, Clear Sky and L4D

I never thought that my PC would ever become "meh" worthy, but now it seems like it may be.

Intel Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz
2 Gb RAM
nVidia 7800 GTX

Pentium 4 2.66 GHZ

512 RAM

nVidia GeForce FX 5200

I can't wait for Crysis 2.
