Areaportals

I've put these on some of the doors in my map...they are intersecting the walls and floor all around the door (i.e. no gaps) yet i still get the message:

"Brush 236048: areaportal brush doesn't touch two areas"
etc
etc

Been to the brush numbers, tried making it so that they 'just' touches the sides of the walls and floor, no luck...anyone know what im doing wrong?

have the areaportal sit inside the brushes (and make sure the brushes the portal area's are sitting inside isn't tied to entities)

so the portal would be just a little larger than the doorway/space.

Did you make it really thin, as thing as possible?

Yup..all of them are 1 square thick

Just got this message

Portalnum > numareaportals

when i ran the map. Guessing it deletes all the portals that dont work (all of em), causing this error :s
