I was playing 1.6 and my hard drive crashed. All 200-goddamn-gigs, and months of work is gone...

Are there any "rollback" programs that are proven to work that I can DL and use?

Btw, DON'T do ANYTHING on that crashed drive. If you do your comp will overwrite some of the data still stored on it (but 'deleted')

Send it to a data recovery firm, there ought to be one in the yellow pages. If it doesn't boot don't even try to do anything yourself.

Wow, lots of hd crashes on the forums lately,

I smell a CONSPIRACY!

But then they see all the bad stuff on your HDD

*Simpsons shifty eye dog*

WTF - can a random crash actually erase your hard drive?!
Sheeat...

Edit: please excuse the noob

No warning signs? No tell-tale signals it was going to crash or something soon? That really sucks.

Backup, backup, backup...
(I'm a hypocrite because I don't even backup often myself.)

GetDataBack

QFT use nothing but this one. When I was in a similar situation a while ago I tested like most of them and only GetDataBack restored all my files. And remember not to use scandisk, it will screw your files up even more :hmph:
