god i hate when this happens... i spend forever typing a reply in a thread and just as i move my hand to click "submit reply", my thumb accidently presses the thumb mouse button which is linked as my Back browser button and i lose the whole reply i typed up :frown:

what happens to you guys on your computer that really ticks you off?

Well since most of the time i use my lap top....Stuff like that happens all the time. My thumb will accidently move across the mouse box thing and then somthing bad usually happens after that. Either the window closes or it selects part of what I have typed and Poof...its all gone. So I know how you feel.

Mine does that,, I just press crtl+z and all is well tho.

Thats cool. I didnt know that. Most ppl will usually laugh at me when it happens. Thxs for the info.

My desk has a roll-out thing that my keyboard and mouse rest on. The problem is, when my hand is on the mouse, the hole that the roll-out thing goes into is right over my hand, so I always manage to hit my fingers on it and it makes em press buttons. If I'm typing a post, I might accidentally hit the back button (pressing the mouse wheel down) orif I'm gaming I might accidentally hit the fire button and waste bullets.

Not to mention that every once in a while, the mouse will just completely freak out and the cursor will go all over the place and spin around. It's especially bad in games- I'll be running, then try to aim real quick and suddenly the mouse will spaz out and my guy will end up goign around in circles.

And my left-click is worn down from all the diablo 2.

Whenever I write out something really long, I also copy and paste it, just in case I click back accidently or the programe doesn't respond for whatever reason.

Another problem I have is at my computer at my office... they don't buy mousepads for us because they have nice smooth desks to use our laser mouses on, and it works for the most part except the desk's pattern isn't exactly perfect for it... so it messes up the tracking if you move the mouse too fast and in just the wrong way and the mouse will end up flying across the screen!

Oh and my gf has an ancient ball-rolling mouse which gets dirty all the time... and i end up trying to move the mouse over an object and it just wont want to move over that spot cause theres dirt in the way!

why dont you just buy a mouse pad?

Most computer flip-out moments, for me, happen when I forget to save my work and I lose it somehow.

Doesn't happen too often, but when it does, it hurts. Good thing is, you have a chance to make some changes because you will know how it looks in the end before you lost it.

Me too, for posts and emails.

I don't really have any bad habbits. Kinda surprising. Suppose I've gotten into a routine of doing things and just dont mess up anymore.

Even if i press back in a browser after i have typed up a big post or comment somewhere, Firefox saves what i typed so i can just hit forward again and its still there :) (except i just tried it here and it doesn't work :D)

Sometimes i do close windows i dont want to close though. I'll be looking through a folder, then i'll load an image in photoshop and close the folder. Then i'll go back and open it to get something else or check the size of a saved file. Can do this multiple times actually. Kinda annoying D:

Man, another thing is when you click a link, and you don't know if it opened a new window or just changed the page, and so you try to click back, and it doens't do anything, and you're like "huh?" for five minutes, or you click close and suddenly all your stuff is gone.

that happens to me alot actually... i click a link and think it opened up a new page, but it had actually done it in the original window and like a dumbass i click close to go back to the originating page and then all i see is my desktop... its a very annoying thing to see!

Most annoying thing is when sites like bf2s open the link...over the page you were viewing! No new window or tab or anything..just pooft..gone

Yeah, I've got a laser mouse too. I just used it on the table without a pad. At first it worked fine but then I was like WTF?! Right in the middle of a fight in a FPS the mouse just goes crazy and I wind up starring at the sky while those dudes were pumping me full of lead. I first thought there was a problem with the drivers, I reinstalled them, I even got an update but it still did the same thing. I finally realised the problem was that the table was just too shiny so the laser would reflect all wrong and the mouse would fly all over the place.

Another thing that pisses me off is that when I work on a project for many hours and I don't save it almost every time I get this message: "The program has encountered an error and has to be closed, if you were working on something we are sorry for the inconvenience". Sorry!!?! If the guy that wrote that was here I would make him eat the keyboard, **** sorry.
