"According to the Finnish Defence (sic) Department, Finnish army doctors have found out that gamers, who spend most of their time in front of a computer, simply miss their computer so much that they can’t handle the conscription.

Army life is a great shock to people who play games all day long and who have virtually no other friends or hobbies,” says Jyrki Kivela from the drafting office. “They go to their doctor and say that they won’t be able to handle military service.”

don't think so, last thing you want when the enemy starts shooting at you is to have those guys start jumping up and down to dodge the bullets.

Nothing silly about the Finnish army. It's not their fault that some people are so addicted to computers that they can't function in the real world. Hmm, I think most bases have Internet access, though. Available during off hours.

personally i think being in ANY army is rather silly, at least it will be untill they devise a way to quicksave, cause sheesh, i dont wanna get shot and have to start the whole level over, nor do i wanna wait for the rest of my team to diffuse the VIP Hosties and so the round will restart. but hey, at least in the real army to dont have to BUY your guns...
