Anybody waiting for this match here ?
Its gonna be intense !

Go Barca !

Oh yes. I'll be watching it for certain. After Saturday it'll be good to see a cup game that my team isn't playing in.

Go.... anyone, I don't care.

yeah i'll be watching fo'sho even though i have my final exam tomorrow but arse to that. Looking forward to a good game.

Jep, we're getting together with a couple of friends to watch the game on a big screen.

Arsenal ftw!

Definitely watching it tonight. Hopefully it will be a spectacular match. Last Bergkamp game *sniff*

It's goingto be a cracker!

Up the Arsenal!!

I have made sure Arsenal will win this. If they don't I'm a rich man... :D

.bog.

What's the odds on Barca? I fancy a line myself tonight, bt I'd make it first goalscorer and winner.

I'm english...guess who i want to win? WRONG. I'm also a Tottenham fan!

BARCALONNAAA! Cmon Nou Camp boys!

Barcelona ftw!

Have a feeling though that Arsenal have a chance D:

My flatmate's an Arsenal fan so we're routing for Arsenal. Mind you we were Routing for Gretna in the Scottish Cup, West Ham in the FA cup and Middlesbrough in the UEFA cup, so it doesn't bode well for Arsenal.

ooh tough to choose between them - I'm probably more partial to Arsenal
should be a good game, both teams can play very flowery football when they want to

Barca for sure. skipping class to watch this. i really just want a good match.

Grr... I don't get any channels that show soccer :(

(football for all you... non-Americans :o)

Haha he grabbed him by the foot.. :p

.. good luck playing with 10 men Arsenal!

(I'm impartial :) )

First half ended, Arsenal winning 1 to 0, C'mon Barca GO! you can do better!
BARCELONA FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst CL match in ages. Arsenal couldn't make any decent attacks with 10 men and had to sit back and take it from Barcelona.

Lame.

Barcelona Won!!! yes!!!
Viva el Barca joder!!!!!!
Barcelona UEFA Champions!!!!!!

It's all my fault.

bah.

Hats off to Arsenal - for 2/3 of the game they were superb, and most of that was with 10 men. They kept battling and chasing the ball till the end.

D:

Wanted Barca to start, but after Arsenal's fight, grit and determination shone through, to see them lose was D:

Poor reff'ng..

All i can say from an arsenal fans perspective is they played fantastic given the circumstances. A goal from barcelona was inevitable...but 2, FFS!. I'm just glad now that i stayed in and didn't go the pub or i'd be mighty pissed off and drink my sorrows away and probably oversleep and get sacked from my job tommorow.

Next year will come...

If ever their is a case for video reffing this is it.

The ref made so many game changing mistakes he should be embarrassment to show his face in football again.

Jens Lehmanns sending off is a proper problem for the ref to face, did he make the right choice? I don't know

What I do know is Van Bommel should of left the pitch well before he was subbed as his challengers were beyond reckless.

But what do I know? I mean the ref clearly saw poor Van Bommel be dispossessed by Henry, so he politely kicks Henry in the leg, and Henry, the evil evil man, gets a well deserved yellow card (apologies for the overloading of any sarcasm meters that were running in the reading of this sentence)

and Ronaldinho? I've lost all respect for him, and I mean all, anybody who falls down after EVERY tackle needs to be sent off for diving.

So Bah, and I don't even LIKE Arsenal, but they played with heart a man down and at times it seemed clearly against the ref.

I don't think Barcas goals were contemptuous, Eto may of been offside but I'd favor the attacker over the defender in that situation any day, any team.

However I think ultimately the game was decided by a few bad decisions by the ref.

Video refs FTW!

That referee was shockingly bad. BRING BACK COLLINA!

Dunno why everyones blaming the ref. The arse are lucky he didnt send lehmann off and give barcelona the goal.

lehmann deserved the red card,
he did grab Eto's leg and he was going for the goal

anyway
congrats to barca :D

As little as bitching about the officiating is going to do, I agree that it was terrible. I counted at least 5 or 6 clean tackles that the ref wrongly called. I don't remember the exact calls, but if I remember correctly even one or two of the cautions were completely clean. Cases of all-ball tackles followed by flops to the ground were called every time. I don't think that the game was affected by it though because most of the bad calls went in Arsenal's favor.

Why Blame the ref..

Okay,

Henry takes the ball from Van Bommel, Van Bommel kicks Henry in the ankle about 20-30 paces from the ref, What does the ref do?

He books Henry of course!

Just cause the ref made one call (and it wasn't that great as most people are saying he should of allowed the goal) does not a great ref make. This Ref made multiple mistakes and some glowing howlers, like letting Van Bommel leave the pitch without a red card.

Also he couldn't give Lehmann a red card and allow the goal, cause in order to give the red card Lehmann HAS to be preventing a goal scoring opportunity, WHICH HE DIDN'T CAUSE THEY SCORED THE GOAL.

He denied eto'o a goal scoring opportunity. And he gave arse a free kick when eboue dived, which they scored from. It wasnt the referees fault arsenal lost, although he was poor.

But they scored which is punishment enough. The referees have to use their common sense in these kind of situations. A yellow card for Lehmann and a 1-0 to Barca was what should've happened. I think Lehmann would've saved both of Barcelonas goals too.

Henry got it pretty much right in the interview at the end of the game.

If there's a chance a player is offside then you can't favour the attacker, that just doesn't make sense.

BARCELONA!

All those arsenal fans were taunting us " Are you watching tottenham" as they were camped round the effiel tower, well guess what scumbags, I WAS WATCHING!

Anyone see Henry's interview after the game, that is one SORE and BITTER loser. 'kicking my ankles' 'i didnt fall over, im not a woman' 'ronaldinho and eto did nothing'. Excuse me? He hit the post, was part of the Lehmann dismisal and scored a goal. Yeah ok "Terry Henry", give us a break

amazing comeback by the kids from Nou Camp. those substitions really payed off for Barca. i was still disappointed that Lehmann was red-carded. they should have given a goal to Barca and then let them be 11-11 players.
