Hmm that sounds familiar . But, it is the truth.

Anyway, do the Art Bruts sound like...every other indie brit rock band nowadays? They've been pouring out like woodwork and sound pretty much the same.

Not at all, which is one of the reasons I love them so much. They sound so different, their songs are very playful and the singer makes no attempts to even... well, sing, I guess, but it sounds great. Heh, hard to explain, definitely check them out, especially "My Little Brother" and "Emily Kane," my two favourites

Well, I don't know, a lot of the Brit bands I've listened to remind me of Doves or Oasis. I'll have to check out the Art Bruts though.

The Doves were average at best, and Oasis are shockingly overrated, let's be honest.

Bands like Maximo Park, Art Brut, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys, The Rakes etc etc

I don't mean to hijack your thread here Ion, but since I can rarely have conversations about music with the people around me...

On the subject of Bloc Party, I think Silent Alarm had a few good songs, but much like Arcade Fire's album, would've been better as an EP.

I just got the Art Brut album and have listened to a few songs. I liked what I heard and it'll definitely be on my mp3 player tomorrow.
