I dont know what to think about this. They look like some serious artifacts but all other games, even doom 3 run on my chitty card. (I'm upgrading the card soon enough but I want to play nowwww, right now its a radeon 9000, and I've tried a bunch of other drivers and it does nothing)

Hmm that is one weird artifact. I thought they were white dots. Is it overclocked?

You overclocked it, don't do it. It happend to me before on Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, and it happens when you overclock your video card.

No, i didnt overclock my videocard, its at the default set clocking speeds.

I fixed it by forcing direct x 8... it does that on 8.1, 9, even 7, but it doesnt do that on 8 for some reason. meh, oh well...

anyway, thanks for the help (but i didnt overclock it )
