First of all, the Assassin's Creed game demo shown at E3 was pre-rendered. If you don't know what pre-rendered means, it means it was created on a very powerful computer, and converted to movie format. There is no way of knowing how the actual game will look when you play it until Ubisoft shows gameplay footage.

With that out of the way, now for some good news for 360 owners:

It's all over the web. I can't tell you if it's fact or fiction, but I can say that I think it's highly likely that the game will eventually come to the other systems, particularly the 360, and possibly the PC.

It makes sense that this game would come to 360 and PC when the exclusive time expires for PS3 since Ubisofts' Prince of Persia game came to the other systems.

Besides, it seems the Assassin's Creed project was announced for the Xbox 360 at X05.

May 12, 2006 - Ubisoft Montreal revealed its next incredible project, Assassins: Creed, exclusively for PlayStation 3 at E3 this year, much to the delight of Sony console fans and to the dismay of Microsoft consoles fans.

A third-person action game in the vein of Prince of Persia, Ubisoft Montreal's newest title shows off the next generation with fantastic texture work, early but promising animations, and newly envisioned levels of Prince/Spider-Men climbing/traversing. But the game, officially, is strictly exclusive to PlayStation 3. Ubisoft officially would not comment on a possible Xbox 360 version.

According to sources close to the company, however, there are potential plans for an Xbox 360 version at Assassins: Creed sometime in 2007. Additionally, Microsoft sources who asked not to be mentioned by name, claimed the demo, hidden behind closed doors at E3, was running on an Xbox 360 using a third-party USB PlayStation controller. The game system was hidden in a stand covered by a sheet. Again, Ubisoft officials would not comment.

We'll have more soon.

From some of the links I found, Sony has paid dearly to keep Assassin's Creed exclusive for a period of time. In fact they are legally bound to decline to comment that it is being worked on for the Xbox 360 as well.

Going by what seems to be a reasonable time frame for exclusives(judging by history), it could be a year or more after Assassin's Creed is released for PS3 before it can be released on the 360.

Good info.

It will be interesting to see more on this game as it gets closer to launch.
And maybe some update on just how long it will remain exclusive to the PS3.

It would be awesome if the Xbox360 eventually got the title.

since I first saw the trailer I knew it was prerendered

however what atract me more about this game is that it looks original

like a medieval hitman

Yea, I guess I never really put enough thought into it. In retrospect, of course it would eventually come to other systems if it is a successful title. I mean look at Grand Theft Auto III, originally an exclusive for the PS2. Some of the Resident Evil games have been temporary exclusives as well, on Gamecube.

It's nice to know that it will eventually be released on the 360, and also nice to know that they had already started working on the 360 version first, as that means it's probably true, and it could come out sooner.

Doesn't make that big a diff. to me seeing as I'm getting a PS3 too but it's nice info, it sounds like an awsome concept and it'd be a shame to have it 'wasted' on a specific console group.:)
Oh btw, some of the RE games? Such as? The only one I can think off is RE4.:p

I could be wrong about the specifics, but as far as I remember, the Resident Evil[1] remake was exclusive to Gamecube, then Resident Evil Zero, then Resident Evil 4. Much to the dismay of me - a huge RE fan, I believe Capcom had a deal with Nintendo to create 4 exclusive games for the Gamecube as the Gamecube was being launched, but the deal had some problems, and I think Nintendo only got 3. You can look it up if you really want to know the facts, as it's been a few years. I read it in a couple of game magazines.
