So AC, when I first saw a video I wanted this game badly. Then saw some combat videos and realised its just another third person adventure game. Now the game has been released and no ones been giving they opinions.

So whats yours....? There are all these twists im reading about which I wont go into as they are spoilers, but they sound very cool

To be completely honest..even though im only half way through so far..the 'twists' and 'spoiler side' of the game seems kinda boring. Its basically just talking really, yeah you have control, but so far its a bit meh. Wether it has a good ending im yet to find.

But anyway. Dont knock the combat. Yeah it looks and pretty much IS simple, but its so badass watching him slaughter these guards in different ways. Each time you just go 'phwoar, ***k yeah that was cool'.

Highly recommended. The free-running is uber cool. People are saying 'sucks how the guards are almost as agile running over the roofs too'; what, is Al'tair a god or something? No hes a human like the guards. I think it adds to the thrill of the chase. Just because you run up the side of a wall doesnt mean the guards go 'oh hes spider man, bugger it, cant be arsed to chase him now'.

Work backwards in that thread.

Anyhow, I'm not far at all but AC is a seriously stylish and very approachable stealth game.

Combat is very simplistic but so far it fits the game. The downside with this combat is that being discovered doesn't make you as nervous as it probably should.

Oh, and the AI can sometimes be a bit ridiculous. E.G. - galloping on a horse in a field sends waves of soldiers after you. (?)

I think i got attacked for getting OFF my horse once...bit random but anyway.

I chose to buy COD4 over AC ... was this a good move or a bad move? I don't get it till tomorrow though.

FPS war effort against stealthy medieval 3rd person number isn't much to compare to. If you're after war and guns you called it right.

Its a slow game for sure. I lose track of time on each assassination. Took me about 2 hours to kill one guy once, that was combined with messing around and pickpocketing the thugs aswell as the sidequests.
