There is a new dev diary over at AssassinsCreed.uk.ubi.com from July 5th (direct download).

Also their news page said it will be playable at E3 this year. Maybe some gameplay videos coming out of E3 this year?

And just to mention it for those that didn't catch it, release date is Nov 2007 world wide (on their news page from June).

God she's hot, I really want to stick my sax into her bag.

Watched this on gametrailers yesterday I think, but that doesn't diminish the fact that Jade is the hottest thing in gaming right now--hotter than Killzone PS3, Halo 3, or anything else you might associate with gaming. And this game looks damn hot!!

Assassin's Creed is looking awesome :)

This game looks too good to be true, I sincerely hope it won't be Vista exclusive when it comes to PC. :(

This is looking like it'll be the best thing to come out of Ubisoft in years. They were starting to go a bit EA with the sequels upon sequels upon ports of sequels for awhile there.

Here is the last part of the live demonstration with commentary. Lower video quality because it was filmed live but also played live.

The first part of the demo when he jumped off the building, Jade acted relieved that no one saw the player as they played it live. And the 2nd guy that is killed hangs over the edge as he died which is different from the direct footage. She said the gates closed and people were alerted by that. Some minor differences.
I hope she's not Vista exclusive.
;)
Like one of the comments say from the link, sounds like she has an orgasm at the end.

Holy crap guys, at about 18 seconds into the youtube video, there's a 20-something with spikey hair wearing a blue shirt with a 4 on it.

Johnny Storm works at Ubisoft!

Every time I see Assassin's Creed I get more pumped for it.

i was slightly disappointed with the demo tbh, seemed quite buggy, popup of textures was very noticeable, the character collision seemed a little off at times, when altair bumps into the women with water jugs above their heads they just fall and disappear when they hit the ground, no water splash or broken jar at all, the floating body, altair's VA sucks imo, reminds me of raiden, whens he's free running along the beams chasing the guy he just clips through the support ropes :/ the combat scene didnt impress me really either :(

also i absolutely hate the silver lining on characters etc :x

Yeah, everyone seemed overly sensitive with the jug dropping... and the floating body was very noticeable.
I thought this would have straight up ragdoll all the way?

Probably blending ragdoll with animations. The model wouldn't have detected the ledge properly or something... idunno.

All bugs anyway. There's still time.

Climbing, scaling, walking, running, exploring and sneaking/being stealthy all look awesome, but the fight scene seemed a little lacking, esp. when there was so many times when he'd turn his back to a soldier and he wouldn't attack. Reminded abit of the Twilight Princess combat where you'd only be attacked by the enemy you were targetting sometimes, and not the ones standing around you. That said, some of the combat moves look awesome and very promising, I think it just needs abit more work perhaps.

In the G4 video Jade mentions things like the dead guy laying flat over mid air are already fixed. They are showing an older version I guess.

It looked pretty easy to skip from platform to platform like in the chase sequence. I do like the fighting style. They do attack you from behind. And it doesn't look like you can just attack your enemy if they are starting to attack you first. A bit more realistic in the fact that you have to deal with that blow, blocking and then attack or if you can time it right with a counter. The controls probably would be a little hard to adjust at first but the moves seem very dynamic.
