The song is made by Greydonsquare, a famous outspoken atheist on youtube but also a growing famous rapper. I cant find the original video for the song but this guy used it and made his own dance video to it.

Rap is not my type of music at all, unless, of course, I have a nice sub pumping out the beats. There is actually decent rap from the Christian side also. (no, I am not a fan of Christian music in general, but the Chrisitian hip-hop scene is definitely the best of the bunch)

you are confusing mainstream rap with oldschool rap. Yes, rap nowadays suck ass, everything you see on MTV or hear on the radio is total bullshit rap. The real rap were there is an actuall message in the song, wether it be political, religious, cultural, whatever, is what is good, but that kind of rap died a long time ago.

Listen to the actual lyrics of the song and think about what hes saying, hes trying to tell a story. There is horrible rap, but there is also good. There is horrible rock, but there is also good.

Now in Metal there are a lot of meaningful lyrics,from stories to life experience to whatever you want, and there is also the music part witch is wonderful .
And everything that is on MTV sucks,there is maybe one good song among all of them.

I dislike most rap for a few reasons. One, I think its involves a pathetically small amount of actual skill..Two, most of it is just cliche, stereotypical back of the bus type shit. However, I do like some of the beats accompanying some songs.

Oh right, an entire genre is awful. Hell, rap is not even limited to a genre, it's just a method of singing/expressing lyrics, it can be found in many genres, and the entirety of it is awful? Yes, gangsterrap is awful for the most part, but there's plenty of rap I can appreciate. Take a lot of Fatboy Slim songs (although it's arguable if it's singing or rap, bit of a gray area methinks).

And yet there's metal in which they rap, and I don't mean garbage like Limp Bizkit but good bands like Pain of Salvation.

And the regular MTV sucks, but MTV2 is excellent and doesn't have any hiphop at all.

Yeah, I know that song and I like it even though I hate the lyrics. Christian rap seems to be pretty decent indeed, but I think it's because it doesn't focus on gangster rap stuff like guns and bitches. Any rap that doesn't do that has potential to be good.

Whether there is music or not has nothing to do with the rap but all the more with the genre (rap is not necessarily a genre) and there's plenty of rap with good music. Rap is excellent when properly combined with rock or just guitars, or good beats like those of Fatboy Slim.

And I don't like most songs of PoS either, but a good combo of rap and metal is the song Spitfall imo.

I used to think that rap shouldn't be considered music. But then I realized I knew a lot of people who would challenge what I myself considered to be music. So **** it. Rap is music. And while there is a lot of chaff out there, I wouldn't say it's entirely devoid of talent. I don't listen to any of it, mind you. But that's not to say they're all coasting by with lame spoken prose.
