i installed an msi k8n neo plat mboard with amd 64 3200+ chip and I'm new to the amd64 platform, and the different bios options. im wondering if the computer is on par with other amd 64 systems.

anyone know of a bench i can run that will just stress CPU so i can see if i still need to tweak things? i just want it to be on par with a normal a64 3200+ system.

sisoft sandra doesn't have a64 cpus to compare or else id use it.

hm well, i gave up looking for one and came home. i googled everywhere for a cpu benchmark, but i guess there is no widely used CPU benchmark.

you shouldnt have to "compare" your 3200 to other 3200's, they will run the same. unless you overclock it.

There are many CPU benchmarks. None will give you a side by side comparison after running them like Si Sandra which is a synthetic benchmark. It's always best to use real-world programs (ones that you actually use) rather than synthetic benchmarks like Si Sandra or PCmark.
Just look at CPU reviews and notice what they use to test their CPUs.
Aceshardware.com is a good site for that. ;)
