ATI 5.2 Driver FPS Loss

I just went from 99 to 75 fps on the video stress test. The only thing that i changed between tests was my video driver, from ati 5.1 to ati 5.2. No control center. I guess i'll have to wait for 5.3 to start using new ati drivers again.

Of course I wouldn't, but I can't understand how or why newer versions of drivers would actually be worse.

What would be the point of releasing new drivers that are not as good as the ones before it?

Check Rage3D forums - you are not alone. I gonna stick to 5.1 Omegas for now...

Yeah im getting really bad stuttering problems now that ive never had before. Wierd, ill prolly roll back to the 5.1s.

Thanks for the heads up.. maybe ill stick with the 5.1's for now seeing as they seem to work pretty good.
