Hi guys...I currently have a Nvidia FX5600 256mb card and although it works reasonably well I feel I could have better gaming with an ATI product.

I have been looking at the 9600 range and I noticed that there are several 128mb cards and a 256mb card.....that seems to be midway in the price range (not the highest as I'd expect).

I have tried searching for more info on this but to no avail.

Could anyone shed some light on this for me? Should I go for the 256mb 9600? or a 128mb? what are the benefits? is the 256mb card using old DDR and the 128mb cards the new DDR II ram?

help me please, I'm all confused.

not to worry, I have found the answer.

The 256mb card does use the old type DDR ram and in tests is very much slower than the 9600 pro 128mb card.
