Actually, I've seen Intels clocked up to over 7Ghz before.

They used liquid nitro to cool the thing! Its not at all practical. Its just like those Intel 7Ghz jobs that you see where the guy has dismantled his pc and its all over the place in his house and his wife/girlfriend has either left him or is thinking about leaving him because the pc gets more attention than she does.

Oh the excitement.

Sarcasm aside, it is a great achievement for the overclockers that did it...but Ati really have nothing to brag about at all seeing that it was released months after the competition released their highend chip and is barely faster.

but unfortunitly that sanerio happens far to often.
and true it an't practical, to run a cpu at 7Ghz using liquid nitrogen.
