Am I right when i say : The catalyst 3.6 drivers contain a refreshrate fix?
Somewhere in those settings, in ; displays, monitor, i can select a refresh rate at "refreshrate override". When i click 85hz ( that my monitor supports) i get 85 hz in games again :D opengl and directd3 :)

Why do i hear nothing about this, and people keep saying "download the refreshrate fix"?

I dont have Cat 3.6 installed, I only got to 3.5 with the OGL hotfix (didnt think I would need 3.6, just intented to skip to 3.7).
Anyway, does the refresh rate overide enable different settings in windows? When I ran it, I got like 10 more modes (for example, 85 at 10x7 was max before, 120 at 10x7 after)

The correct term is "So this will fix the WinXP refresh rate bug" :)
Still, no idea, I cant check it now... Maybe someone with ATI will.

the refreshrate override works. If you have riva tuner that has a refreshrate fix as well.

Well it works for me, with ONLY the catalyst 3.6 drivers :]

damn now i notice the difference between 60 and 80 hz lol in halflife and counterstrike/dod
