I've not had my X800 XT Platinum that long, and its already on the verge of being branded 'outdated'.

Oh well, PC can go to hell from now on, my gaming is moving over to the XB360 asap.

Then obviously it's only stupid people that know how to spell "You're" properly.

By the time the xb360 is released in November, it will be superior to 99% of PCs. Only the real enthusiast will have a system that comes close to its performance - and god knows he will have paid nearly 5x the cost of the XB360 to get it.

Call me stupid if you like, but i'd like to play games that have been fully optimised for the system they are designed for, for once... instead of games that are designed for inferior machines that give me a stupidly high frame-rate that I don't care about, and graphics that are inferior to what my system can achieve.

PC = interweb, Console = gaming.

Hell, why sit at a PC gaming when I can do it in high-def from the sofa.

well, not everyone can afford a hi def TV. thats a fact people should think about when switching from PC gaming to console gaming in the future. sure the console will be low in price compared to a whole computer, but its not going to look good on your average 24" sony tv. so then its time to shell out thousands of dollars for an HDTV that still doesn't rival the quality you can get on a CRT/LCD monitor made for computers.

id like to make the switch to a new console, but they need 2 things, VGA port, and ability for me to use my mouse and keyboard. sharper image, sharper controls basically.

I have a feeling that thses consoles are showing us games that the consoles are CAPABLE of eventually achieving, but may not neccessarily be made for the next year and a half or so.
Im fairly confident, for example, that my 6800gt will have me playing some of the best looking games out there for another year from now.
