ATI have added the Valve Premier Pack FREE, which includes the games: Half-Life, Counter Strike, Team Fortress Classic, Deathmatch Classic, Half-Life: Opposing Force and Ricochet

this just goes to show that the HL2 release must now be a long ways away.

I can't decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing.. Are they doing this because its coming soon and so it wont cost a lot losing sales from the older stuff.. Or as Arrowhead said, because HL2 is so long away now, they had little choice

Im not even going to speculate on what the correlation with the release date might be....we will get it when its ready.

Good point Fenric. Unfortunately I think Hl2 is a long ways off so they are trying to keep their customers.

its laughable though seeing how they could bundle that same software with a geforce 2 and they would run great.

usually you include software that can exploit the strengths of the card, but hl and addons will take advantage of 5% of what the card has to offer. its just stupid that they did that

part of me, the part that wants to do mods and things for it. Doesn't mind if it takes until April to appear, gives me more time to plan cause I know once its out I'll be playing it too much not modding for it . But part of me, the part that wants to play it can't wait.

Yeah, this is what Inquirer was talking about. What seems logical is that HL2 actually isn't coming out for some time. So they did this because XT owners now have a coupon for a game that won't be coming out for months.

I'm still hopeful for November/December

Optimism will pay off...Delayed, or not, optimism makes it go by faster. Besides; there will be plenty of great games, if it doesn't come out this year. Kill.Switch, Ninja Gaiden, Armed & Dangerous, etc. Well, the first two are Xbox games...sorry you non-Xbox users.
