ati mobility 9600 gone terribly wrong

i am having quite a severe graphical bug and have no idea how to fix it, and i have taken a screen shot of it.

has anyone else had this problem?

kinda looks like what you get when you overclock a card and its all screwed up.

I get messed up textures and color distortion alot on my mobility 9000, so it might be the whole series of cards has a problem

Probably a driver problem.
If you haven't got the latest driver, I'd try and upgrade it. Otherwise, kindly ask your manufacturer to review their drivers

(on a side-note, at what res are you playing and which options do you have on? I'll soon have my laptop with a mobile 9700 so I'm curious about what I can expect )

Yeah probably due to overheating and/or weird drivers. But in all honesty, it looks pretty cool

If you're in a league, try and convince the admins you're perfectly normal

I'm not sure I'm following you here. Are you saying I'm weird or something? :E

well the wierd thing is, itdoes it on the exact same spots everytime. and when you hit those spots the frame rate goes to 15-25, but i ususally get 50-60 fps with no hiccups.

im running it at 1290x800 widescreen res, and i have everything maxed out.

Hmm that is one strange resolution. Have you tried lowering your settings & resolution? And chang drivers That is usually the problem with graphical errors.
