in most cases, third party drivers are dangerous and i would never use them. but thats just me. however, if u really care about 10 more frames and are willing to take the risk, go ahead

Omegas seem to offer better performance in benchmarks, but are usually a little slower than Cats in actual gaming (HL2 and Doom 3 etc)

Still, i've never had a problem with either driver - and use both often.

(Omega are more stable for overclocking, which is the only reason I use them)

I have the Omegas, & they work fine for me. The Catalyst drivers might be better, but who knows. The Omegas will work.

I have been having problems with my system. It still get's the stutter crash and it's driving me nuts. So I decided to try the Omega drivers in hopes they would solve my problem. 5 minutes in I got my answer. Same problem. Guess I keep looking.

71.40's here on a 6600gt, but I've used omega ATI drivers with my 9700pro for years. Nary a problem.
