Anyone know of a good program for OCing ATI video cards? Is ATITool still good?

I just did some OCing via the Overdrive section in the drivers and maxed them out.
Link Thats a dual monitor shot of playing the Quake 4 demo while testing the OC settings. Everything ran fine. But I'm maxed out! Need higher settings to test!
648 core\1440 memory OC so far.
575 core\1200 memory is default for the X1900GT.
Also ran 3dmark05 and 06 with no artifacts or issues.
But I must get some sleep now...:rolling:

The maximum settings in the overdrive panel tend to be somewhat conservative, i'm also maxxed out on both sliders on my X1800XT and have never experienced any artifacting or lockups. However, when i first took to oc'ing this card (not long after i bought it) i found that ati tool didn't work very well with the new X1800 series, although i'm sure that since then they have sorted any problems. It seems to be what most of the major review sites use to oc their ati cards, so go for it !!

Omegadrivers are what you need. They come with a built-in OC'ing tool. Very helpful indeed.

I'm using ATITool and I'm very pleased with how it looks for errors/artifacts. I have a radeon 9600XT (500/297 to 573/319). I suggest you give it a try.

I downloaded ATItool but I'm not changing any clock settings just yet. Doing other stuff and don't want my PC to hang. But it says that it doesn't like the fact that my card underclocks while in 2D. I'll have to check it out later.

With ATItool I was able to get to 880Mhz (1760) memory and it ran stable while playing games. The problem is I only got to 600-625Mhz for the core before it would crash randomly. While using ATI's CCC I hit 650Mhz stable and was limited by the driver settings. Something is odd with ATItools. It wouldn't display the temp sensor readings either.

Too bad Omega's do not currently allow OCing on X1000 cards. I'm waiting for them to release the next version that does.
Comparing the ATItool's OC (faster memory setting) and what I was able to do with ATI's CCC (faster core setting) the faster core made a much bigger difference. I'll stick with that til I find something better. :x
